Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) has organised a special “Research and Innovation Week” which will be held at the University’s campus in Blantyre.

The event, scheduled for 11-12 August 2025, will be held under the theme Research and Innovation: Driving Sustainable Growth for an Inclusive and Entrepreneurial Malawi”.

“Our wish mainly is to see companies invest in local solutions through education and innovation,” she said.

Matandika said the university believes that when the industry players and the academia collaborate, the country can unlock the required solutions for the country to build a resilient future.

“And that’s possible because we all know that research and innovation uncover new ideas explored to solve problems or improve existing systems,” said Matandika.
