Triephonia Thomson Mpinganjira Foundation has come to the rescue of DMI St John the Baptist University graduate Memory Monalissah Mandala with a K3 million donation to boost her second hand clothes business.
Triephonia Mpinganjira, who is a philanthropist and founder of the foundation, swiftly reacted to the TikTok post sounding a “Save Our Soul” panic message for the Lilongwe-based business young lady.
Memory graduated from the student but just like most graduates she ventured into business after failing to secure a job opportunity.
In a post on her Facebook Page, Triephornia, who is a businessperson and wife to business mogul and fellow philanthropist, Thomson Mpinganjira, urged people to people social media to good use.
“Let’s Use Social media to Elevate ourselves. Memory Monalissah Congrats , May God Bless You. Your story is inspiring. Use the Money Wisely,” she said.
Receiving the windfall, Memory said she it was pleasant surprise as she did not expect to receive such money from the renowned businessperson and social media influencer.
“I started this business after graduating from DMI University because I had no chance for job opportunity. My business hasn’t been faring well,” she said.
A representative of Triephornia Thomson Foundation Wezi Chiweta said the foundation was formed to transform the socio-economic lives of Malawians.
He said the group would reach out to many youths in the country.
The donation comes barely a few days after it offered five sewing machines to a businessperson Funny Matchindu at Chadzunda in Blantyre a boost for her tailoring enterprise.
She also gave out K500,000 to a Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources graduate Medson Manuel who was employed as guard after failing to secure a job since his graduation in 2023.
