Lucius Banda Foundation Continues Charity Work

The Lucius Banda Foundation has continued its legacy of helping those in need by donating a commode chair to 70-year-old Elizabeth Mkwamba of Mthumba Village in Balaka. Mkwamba, who battles high blood pressure and diabetes, will now have an easier time with movement, bathing and using the toilet.

Presenting the donation, foundation member Samuel Khwiya reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to uplifting vulnerable people.

“We are carrying forward the vision of the late Lucius Banda, who believed in helping those in need. This is just one of many acts of kindness we will continue to do,” Khwiya said.

The donation was made possible with support from Good Life Malawi, which has partnered with the foundation in its mission.

Elizabeth Mkwamba’s daughter, Modesta Roderick, expressed gratitude for the timely assistance.

“This donation means a lot to us. My mother has been struggling, and this chair will make her daily life much easier. We are truly grateful to the foundation,” she said.

The Lucius Banda Foundation remains dedicated to its mission of supporting the less privileged, ensuring that the late musician’s legacy of generosity lives on.
