Business Partners International to Boosts SME

Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Malawi are set to receive a significant boost from Business Partners International (BPI), a fund manager that provides business finance and support to SMEs.

BPI has pledged to empower SMEs with access to funding, mentorship programmes and training to help them achieve growth and success amid economic and social challenges.

According to Bond Mtembezeka, BPI Country Director, SMEs play a vital role in creating jobs, supporting livelihoods and accelerating economic growth.

“By providing these businesses with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions, Business Partners International hopes to foster a thriving entrepreneurial society and create valuable networking opportunities,” said Mtembezeka.

BPI aims to empower Malawian businesses with guidance and capital to thrive on the global market.

“There is an urgent need for us to come in and provide financial support to SMEs because some of the challenges that these groups face include limited access to finance and entrepreneurial skills,” said Mtembezeka.

With a focus on innovation and collaboration, BPI seeks to drive SME growth in Malawi.

“Empowering SMEs economically is not only a moral obligation but also a strategic move, noting that when they succeed, they will be able to make a stronger contribution to the economy,” said Mtembezeka.

SMEs account for approximately 40 percent of Malawi’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), making them vital to the country’s economic growth.

BPI provides financing solutions to SMEs across various sectors, enabling them to purchase equipment, access working capital, and thrive in a competitive market.

SMEs looking for funding and technical assistance can apply for loans or visit BPI offices at Industrix Complex, Kidney Crescent, Kristwick, Blantyre. They can also email BPI at enquiries@businesspartners.mw or visit their website at www.businesspartners.mw.
