Talk to Someone Foundation Donates Maize Flour to 50 Households in Balaka

Talk to Someone Foundation has extended a helping hand to 50 households in Balaka District by donating maize flour worth K1,300,000.

The donation benefited families from Group Village Headman Mpulula, Kandengwe, Megson, and Ntonya areas, which have been severely affected by hunger.

Speaking to ProjectM, Tabitha Kayira, founder of Talk to Someone Foundation, expressed her gratitude to the women who have been contributing through Facebook and WhatsApp groups. She encouraged them to continue their selfless support to help vulnerable families.

“This donation is only possible because of your consistent efforts. I urge you all not to tire, as many families across the country are still battling with hunger. Together, we can make an even bigger impact,” said Kayira.

Group Village Headman Mpulula, thanked Talk to Someone Foundation for the timely assistance, highlighting the dire food situation in the area.

“This donation has come at a critical time when many families are struggling to find food. On behalf of the community, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Talk to Someone Foundation for remembering us,” said the Group Village Headman.

Gladys Njolinjo, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the donation.

“We are so thankful for this maize flour. It means a lot to us because we’ve been going to bed hungry for days. Now, we will finally have something to eat,” she said.

Kayira also revealed that the foundation’s members are currently mobilizing additional resources to support families in other districts affected by hunger.

“Our work does not end here. Hunger is a nationwide challenge, and we are committed to reaching as many families as possible. I encourage more people to join us in this noble cause so that we can extend our reach to other districts,” she added.

In addition to providing food aid, Talk to Someone Foundation supports vulnerable groups in other ways, such as offering essential supplies and sponsoring school fees for over 10 students.

The foundation has been a beacon of hope for orphans, the elderly, and people with disabilities, helping to uplift communities in need.

Talk to Someone Foundation operates through online platforms, rallying contributions to support Malawi’s most vulnerable groups. The foundation has become a lifeline for many struggling communities, offering both immediate relief and long-term assistance.
