Blockbuster Megastore’s annual community outreach initiative has heralded the festive season for over 300 people in Group Village Headman Chiola by providing meals to children, the elderly and less-privileged.
On a day marked by celebration and goodwill, Blockbuster Megastore’s Corporate Sales Executive, Elizabeth Kaitano, led staff in delivering the meals to the needy.
The initiative is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities that have supported its growth over the years.
Speaking during the event, Kaitano expressed the company’s joy in bringing warmth and happiness to the people of Chiola.
She said: “As the festive season unfolds, Blockbuster is proud to have brought happiness to the people here and to celebrate together with the community.
“This is part of our annual community outreach initiative and we are deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to make this season special for them.”
Kaitano also emphasised that Blockbuster Megastore’s success is tied to the support and loyalty of its customers, making such charitable acts not only an expression of appreciation but also a reflection of the company’s values.
“Our success is a direct result of the trust and loyalty our customers have placed in us. It is important for us to give back to those who have helped us grow,” she added.
Peter Chilota, speaking on behalf of the villagehead thanked the organisation for the initiative.
He said: “It is gratifying to know that there are people out there who care and reach out to those in need.
“We are happy to have shared the meal together, and this gesture truly demonstrates the importance of community support. It reminds us that we are not alone, and that help is available when needed most.”
Blockbuster Megastore’s charitable actions reflect their commitment to social responsibility to make a positive impact on society.
