Linda Ward Foundation has donated 70 bags of fertilizer worth K7.2 million to Community-Based Child Care Centers (CBCCs) in Kamteteka, Mzimba.
Linda Ward, the Foundation’s founder, expressed her concern for the caregivers, who as volunteers struggle to afford essential farming inputs.
She emphasized that the donation aims to secure food for their households while enabling them to continue their critical work at the CBCCs.
“This fertiliser will ensure our caregivers’ fields flourish, directly impacting their families’ food security,” Ward stated, with optimism that this act of kindness would yield lasting benefits.
Dinala Kankhuni, the Foundation’s Director, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to supporting communities through education, health, and agriculture.
For caregivers like Coster Nyirongo from Geoffrey Nursery School, the impact is profound.
“With this fertilizer, I can now harvest 12 or 13 bags of maize. This will make a huge difference for my family,” she said.
The Linda Ward Foundation continues to sow seeds of change, ensuring that those who nurture young minds also have the resources to feed their families.
