MARANATHA SCHOOLS OFFER FULL UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS TO 2 TOP MSCE PERFORMERS

The Managing Director of Maranatha Schools, Ernest Kaonga, has announced that two of his students, Owen Jelasi and Hellen Thombozi, who have emerged as top performers in this year’s Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations, have been awarded full scholarships to Sharda University in India.

This follows after Kaonga promised to offer full university scholarships to two best MSCE performer’s. Luckily, the best performers are from his school.

Owen has scored 8 points, becoming the top performer in Malawi, while Hellen has earned an impressive 10 points, becoming the top performer in the female category.

Kaonga expressed his satisfaction with the results of the two students; hence, the decision to offer them full scholarships.

“This is a testament to our school’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts in promoting education standards in Malawi. We are dedicated to providing a quality education that opens doors to opportunities like this,” he said.

Maranatha Schools recently signed a three-year partnership with Sharda University to offer full scholarships to the best-performing students in the MSCE examinations to study in India.

According to the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB), out of 177,434 students, who sat for the 2024 MSCE, 97,222 have passed, representing a 54.79 pass rate which is an improvement from last year’s 54.50 percent.
