FAM HOLDS CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is holding a two-day capacity building workshop for its affiliates at Sunbird Nkopola Leisure Centre in Mangochi District.

FAM President Fleetwood Haiya opened the workshop being facilitated by renowned expert football consultant, Ashford Mamelodi from Botswana.
Writing on his official face book page, the FAM President said the workshop is aimed at strengthening the operational deliverables to to transform the game.

Haiya added that: “This versatility is key to our FAM, administration’s focus to build capacity of our affiliates so that the game is transformed using a bottom-up approach. This meeting covers a number of elements of leadership and good governance where all executive committee members emanating from all the FAM affiliated bodies will have an opportunity to enhance the skills and knowledge and understanding of modern leadership precepts for the benefit of the game at the source.”
According to him, the primary objective is to equip delegates with expertise to run associations professionally.
The two-day workshop, which drew 90 participants, is expected to come end on Friday June 28.
Meanwhile, FAM will also hold an annual general meeting for 36 delegates of its affiliates.
