SHARE WORLD UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EQUIPS INDIVIDUALS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO BECOME SUCCESFUL ENTREPRENEURS

Meet Virginia Phiri, a graduate from Share World Open University who is offering valuable skills and knowledge tailored for individuals who aspire to become successful entrepreneurs.


Virginia, from Makuta Village, T/A Mabulabo in Mzimba District said the curriculum among other things is designed to create a conducive environment for young entrepreneurs to access relevant entrepreneurship skills, knowledge, values and attitudes for businesses.
The 34-year-old Multi-Level and Marketing business expert who holds Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, told ProjectM that due to extreme levels of unemployment in the country she thought it wise to support individuals in building successful businesses so that they contribute to a more circular economy.


Currently they are providing business management training program to individuals remotely through social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp as well as face to face meetings, that responds adequately to the market and business needs of young men and women in the country. We offer courses designed to support these individuals in the following stages: idea generation, business development and management skills, financial literacy and many more. These transformative experiences will help individuals turn their passions into sustainable businesses, drive economic growth and become self-sufficient.


She said if Malawians particularly the youths are taught to identify opportunities in the market, innovate and mobilize resources to turn their dreams into viable businesses, this could help to improve the overall quality of life of citizens and propel the country into a brighter future and achieve economic greatness.
The business mentor said as of today she has trained more than 1000 people from all corners of the country regardless of education or status of a person.
The Successful entrepreneur said she believes in nurturing the next generation of
entrepreneurs who dare to dream big and think outside the box hence the need for them to get the necessary skills, knowledge and mindset needed to thrive in the competitive business world.


“Many people are living below the poverty line and millions of people are struggling to afford basic essentials hence the reason that we strive to empower individuals with business and entrepreneurship skills to help people build a long-term income stream and ensure that the recipients can effectively start their own businesses to achieve financial success,” she said.
Adding up her voice, one of the beneficiaries of this program Darles Kalemeka, 44, from Chakhala Village, T.A Mponela in Dowa, thanked Virginia for her initiative saying for the past few months she has been inspired for being able to believe in her vision, develop new skills and believe in his potential for success.


“Additionally, we have learned how to generate and evaluate business ideas, networking and how influential the social media can be in promoting business and many more. We are confident that these new skills will contribute significantly to our collective success and help us reach new heights”, she said.
