Castel Malawi has described the tragic passing on of the country’s Vice-President Dr Saulos Chilima as a huge loss for the nation.
A statement released by the company has also hailed Dr Chilima for contributing to the growth of the company.
“His contributions and dedication during his tenure left a lasting impact on our company,” said a statement released by the company.
Castel Malawi has further sent heartfelt condolences to the Vice-President’s family and to the families of all those died on Monday’s tragedy.
DR Saulos Klaus Chilima served as National Sales Manager for Castel Malawi (formerly Southern Bottlers) until 2006.
He tragically died in a plane crash on Monday with 8 others in at Nthungwa Forest in Viphya Highlands, Mzimba district.
He will be laid to rest on Monday, the 17 June 2024 at his home village Nsipe in Ntcheu District.
