INNOVATORS, ENTREPRENEURS FORM AN ORGANIZATION

A newly formed youth-led organisation known as Youthful Entrepreneurs Community (YEC) has underlined the need for youths in the country to break free from unemployment and dependency by venturing into entrepreneurship.

The organisation has also underscored the need for youths to have a vision and embrace entrepreneurial spirit in a quest to become successful entrepreneurs.

YEC director of strategic planning Andre Monile Msuku has told ProjectM in an interview that the organisation is in a process of recruiting youths who are ready to venture into various economic activities.

“We are here to help the youths understand that being an entrepreneur is like starting an exciting adventure, about dreaming big, taking risks, and enjoying the process of building something new,” he said.

Msuku added that the organisation is giving an opportunity to Youthful entrepreneurs to tell their own story, including stories of hard work, creativity, and not giving up.

“We believe, providing a platform for youths to express their views openly will help others to understand that being an entrepreneur is all about believing in yourself,” said Msuku.

On the 1 June 2024, the organisation plans to host what it calls a day of learning, networking and innovation, featuring esteemed industry experts and entrepreneurs as guest speakers.

The function, which will be held in Blantyre has been organised to give youthful innovators and entrepreneurs a chance to interact.

Victor Suya, an entrepreneur based in Chilomoni, Blantyre has expressed excitement with the formation of the organisation.
