As youths across the country are being urged to venture into entrepreneurship, 30-year-old Chifundo Brian Manyamba has followed the advice by opening his own company called Greenpath Agri Solutions.
Among others, the company specializes in supply of agricultural inputs and provision of fumigation services.
Manyamba, a graduate from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) started saving money soon after graduating in 2018 with hope of opening his own company.
After saving money for 4 years, he finally launched his dream company in 2022.
“I struggled to secure employment after I graduated, a scenario which pushed me to start looking for piece works,” Manyamba said through his Facebook page.
Money realized from piece works and surveys enabled him to generate capital and launched his venture in Mangochi.
“My clientele has so far grown to include clients such as banks, hotels, schools and various non-governmental organizations,” said Manyamba.
Apart from providing fumigation services, Greenpath Agri Solutions also provides Agricultural consultancy services.
The company collaborate with farmer’s groups and provide them with advice on how to maximize their produce.
Renowned social commentator and lecturer of Commerce and industry at the Nkhoma University in Lilongwe, Vincent Matiya Chirwa has hailed Manyamba for taking up a challenge which most youths are failing to take up.
